Community and VCSE
The communities most often spoken for, speaking first.
HHEI delivers culturally grounded hormonal health education for community organisations and VCSE bodies working with ethnic minority and underserved populations. Sessions are designed by and for South Asian and other ethnic minority communities. The KHUSH programme addresses PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, perimenopause, and the metabolic conditions that intersect with hormonal health in South Asian populations.
We work alongside community organisations, not above them. If your group, charity, or social enterprise is already doing this work, we want to build with you.
What we offer
Built with you, not for you.
Four ways HHEI shows up for community organisations and the people they serve. Every one of these is shaped by community input before it goes out the door.
Culturally adapted health education
Materials written with, not at, the communities they're for. Plain language, translated where it matters, designed to be shared at the kitchen table as easily as at the GP surgery.
Co-produced programmes
Co-production is built in from the design stage, not bolted on afterwards. Community partners help shape what gets made, how it's delivered, and how we know it worked.
Peer education support
We back the people already trusted in their own communities. Training, evidence, content, and a route to share what's working with a wider network.
Coalition-building with VCSE bodies
We work alongside community organisations, not above them. Shared platforms, joint convenings, and a seat at the table when policy and commissioning conversations happen.
Our commitment
"Expert experience is a full contributing lens at HHEI. It sits alongside clinical, occupational, and research expertise on our expert panel, not as a guest, but as a peer."
No-one understands what is missing in care better than the people who have had to navigate around it. We treat that knowledge as evidence, not as anecdote.
