The Expert Panel is one part of HHEI's offer. A named, structured group spanning clinical practice, occupational health, expert by experience, research, policy, and cultural competence.
The Expert Panel is largely formed. Named members will be published once the multi-lens core is confirmed. The Associated Network remains open for expressions of interest.
Aims
What the Expert Panel is for
HHEI is structured as a convening body. The founding directors hold the core clinical and occupational lenses and lead every engagement. The Expert Panel is the named, third-party group HHEI convenes when a piece of work requires depth across more specialisms than any founding team alone can hold.
The founding directors are not counted in the panel. They sit above it as the convening leadership. The panel is who partners access alongside the founders: clinical specialists from outside the founding board, workforce and occupational practitioners, experts by experience, researchers, policy and commissioning specialists, and cultural and cross-system practitioners across six named layers.
Having a named panel is a credibility signal in its own right. It shows that HHEI can assemble and deploy genuine multi-lens expertise, not claim to hold it all internally. For partners across employer, NHS, pharma, and health technology markets, a structured expert panel with named contributors across all six layers is a recognised indicator of organisational depth.
The Advisory Board provides strategic counsel on HHEI's governance and CIC operations; the Expert Panel is delivery capacity. Both sit alongside the founding board.

The panel exists so HHEI can convene the right depth per brief. It is not a single product line. Below is the surface of markets and partnership types where the panel is designed to contribute.
Employers
Workplace policy review, hormonal health audits, manager training input, and return-to-work pathways where occupational and equity lenses need to sit together.
EAPs and corporate health providers
Clinical credibility on wellbeing products, multi-lens content input, and expert-experience review of pathways that touch hormonal health at work.
Pharma and life sciences
Multi-stakeholder input, patient-experience review, and equity-aware briefings within ABPI-aligned governance.
Health tech and femtech
Clinical and UX validation, equity-of-access review, and evidence scrutiny before launch, without HHEI overclaiming in-house coverage.
NHS, ICBs and commissioners
Pathway design, women's health hub input, workforce health programmes, and equity audit where commissioning and occupational context both matter.
Research partners and grant-makers
Grant co-applications, guideline contribution, and multi-lens input on funding calls and workstreams.
Structure
How this sits alongside our other groups
- Founding board: the two directors, statutory duties, and convening leadership on every engagement.
- Expert Panel: multi-lens delivery capacity. Largely formed; named members published soon.
- Associated Network: wider network of organisations and practitioners contributing to defined pieces of work. Open for expressions of interest.
- Advisory Board: strategic counsel on governance and CIC operations, not delivery capacity.

Panel structure
Six layers. A multi-disciplinary panel.
Founders are not counted in the panel. They lead the engagement; the panel is what they convene onto it.
Clinical specialists
Consultants and specialists across women's health, men's health, integrative medicine, fertility, and health technology. Clinical depth from outside the founding board, drawn in when a piece of work requires specialist input beyond the founders' own practice.
Workforce and occupational
OH consultants, EAP clinical leads, workplace psychologists, and HR strategists. The operational layer that translates clinical content into working organisational practice.
Expert by experience and community
People with direct experience of hormonal conditions in working and community life, including charity founders and patient advocates. Expert by experience is a full contributing lens.
Research, public health and behavioural science
Researchers in health inequalities and women's health, behavioural scientists, and health anthropologists. The evidence layer that grounds work in methodology rather than assertion.
Policy, commissioning and systems
Former ICB and NHSE leads, policy specialists, and third-sector strategy practitioners. The systems layer for work that touches procurement, commissioning design, or regulatory context.
Cultural and cross-system
Practitioners who bridge community, faith, and clinical settings, with specific cross-cultural and ethnic-equity expertise. A standing layer for any work where cultural competence is required.
Where a piece of work requires a specialism the panel does not currently hold, HHEI will not claim to hold it. The scope is adjusted or the right Associated Network contributor is brought in before work begins.
Associated Network
Beyond the panel
Alongside the Expert Panel, HHEI is building an Associated Network of organisations and practitioners whose contribution to specific pieces of work is scoped and agreed per project. Associates are not standing panel members; they bring their specific expertise to defined pieces of work where it is needed.
The network includes:
- Community organisations and faith groups contributing cultural and linguistic reach
- Academic researchers and NIHR-connected teams contributing evidence generation and methodology
- Training designers and organisational development consultants contributing change methodology
- Equity and cultural specialists contributing intersectional and language-specific input
